I've run across a couple of these services now... unlimited storage for $4.95 - very cool concept.
I wonder how the business models work out for these services in the long run.
I also think I need to figure out a good way to encrypt my data prior to these guys getting their hands
on it.

I would hope they have something in place that would prevent them from getting into your data (like you hold the passphrase or something sorta like that).
Private encryption key options - You have a choice of using Mozy's own 448-bit key or managing your own private key to encrypt your data.
I would pick option #2 and not trust their key.
